In my 30 years of hiring salespeople I have learned that great salespeople exist in abundance, what doesn’t exist usually is an employers plan to hire, train, provide tools, and retain great salespeople.
More often than not companies hire candidates that look like they have sales experience, and 8 out of 10 of them don’t work out. So why do 8 out of 10 salespeople fail to work out?
Well, it’s because great salespeople are either made, or properly pursued, and it’s as simple as that.
You can’t just simply find and hire great salespeople and fill your sales team with winners without an EXCELLENT PLAN, it can’t be done.
