Five Beliefs That Shape Every Search We Run

October 1, 2026

Most freight forwarding companies have hired and been disappointed. Good talent exists. The problem is that the search was built on assumptions that do not hold in this industry.

Here are the five convictions that run every search we take on at Darius and Company:

1. Freight forwarding sales is a specialist role. Logistics fluency, relationship depth, and international trade knowledge all have to live in the same person. A generic sales search surfaces the wrong shortlist every time.

2. The best candidates are already placed and not looking. Posting and waiting does not reach them. The search has to go to them.

3. We serve freight forwarding companies specifically. That deliberate boundary is what makes our market knowledge deep enough to be useful to someone who already knows the industry.

4. A good placement fits the business, right down to the job description. We have to understand your lanes, your carrier relationships, and your growth stage before we build a shortlist.

5. Some searches we decline. When a brief cannot produce a placement we would stand behind, saying so at the outset costs you less than accepting on false terms.

If these five align with how you want to hire, we should talk. Every search we take on starts with a real conversation. Reach out through the link in bio.
